Autumn is undoubtedly my favorite time of the year. While this season is quite warmer than normal, many of the things I love about Fall surround me. The leaves are turning, my Friday nights are spent at the high school football game, and the holiday craziness is just beginning. The cold, snowy days of winter will return to Pennsylvania sooner than I expect (or want). And while Fall is a time normally associated with things ending--leaves falling and the lazy days of summer giving way to hectic days--this Autumn has been full of new beginnings for me.
This summer I realized something very important. My job was making me sick -- literally. I was working waaaayy too many hours, wasn't appreciated, and wasn't going anywhere. Luckily, I found another job with more time off at a company I love, doing something I love. It's a win-win for me and my family. I'm also hoping it'll be a win for you. More time off and less stress is so far equating to more writing time and a happier muse. Which means... Rick's story is coming soon! Tentative release date is January 2018. Keep an eye out for pre-order links.
In the meantime, enjoy this month's freebie. I love this picture. It reminds me of Autumn in the pack lands of West Virginia.
